he main reason I do what I do is I love the written word.
I like to see it used precisely and powerfully—and it
just so happens I've been able to make a career of it.
But more than that, I get a kick out of seeing the
written word in the service of a fantastic idea. As much as I like working solo (looking at you, proofreaders!) collaborating as part of a team to bring a very cool idea to life is what I enjoy more than anything.
